Afternoon update

Praise be to God! Tammy has not experienced any nausea so far! She has a little minor pain, but feels very good.  If you know her at all, she is just a little Norwegian stubborn.  I ran to Costco for some chicken noodle soup and she wanted to ride along.  Her reasoning is that she is still resting. Needless to say I had to force her to lay down and rest. That is the hardest thing for her to ever do!
What difference from the last surgery.  She had been reading some blogs from women that have gone through this and they all said that the second day is a little worse.

Thank you everyone for your prayers so far!

Feeling good

She is in phase 2, talking away, saying all kinds of "sorries" to the nurses.

Her color is great, she is eating a Popsicle and not feeling any nausea at all!

Praise be to God for his safety and blessings!

Keep on waiting

She is still in phase one because she is sleepy. They gave extra mess for the nausea which are making her sleepy.

I think I hear her snoring all the way out here! Okay, not really.

Smooth surgery

I just got done talking with the surgeon and he said it was extremely smooth with absolutely no problems to report!

She is in phase 1 recovery for another 30 min or so.  Then she is moved to phase 2 recovery, which is when we can see her!

We beat the birds up today!

We were up before the crack of dawn today arriving at the hospital around 5:30 am.  We left late (what would you expect from the Aslesen's?) but as a result of my driving skills and mostly legal speeds we were only slightly late.

I had prayed specifically that the IV would go in smoothly as Tammy was a little nervous about that part since it was an issue the last time.  Praise God, she did not feel anything!

She went into the OR about 7 am.

Final and last surgery is here!

Tomorrow we will be at the CDH nice and early at 5:30 am for a 7 am surgery.  Tammy will have the expander implants replaced with her new permanent friends.

Please pray specifically that:
1) Everything goes smoothly
2) She does not have any adverse affects from the anesthesia.
3) There are no infections that develop at any of the incision points.

WE thank everyone for their prayers and support as we turn down this last leg of this amazing journey we have been on.

I give so much praise and glory to God for His peace throughout every step.  We can say that it would have been so difficult without His peace.

I will resume some more frequent play by play posts over the next several days.

Baby Steps

Tuesday 2/1 Tammy is slowly but steadily healing. Each day is a little more progress. She of course wants to be up running a marathon alrea...
